Each year, around
1,200
preemie babies are born in Lithuania.
For more than a decade, the Ankstukai charity and support foundation has stood as a beacon of hope for premature babies in Lithuania. As the first initiative of its kind in the country, and among the trailblazers in Europe, Ankstukai is wholeheartedly dedicated to supporting these tiny fighters.
Uniting a strong community of benefactors, the foundation provides tailored assistance to premature babies across Lithuania. The unwavering support extends to families, organizations, and hospitals in need, ensuring that the care provided matches the unique challenges faced by the little ones.
Ankstukai welcomes every prematurely born child, their families, and anyone who shares a wish to make a difference – medical professionals, caregivers, and all those with a compassionate heart.
The contributions of many make a profound impact. A parent’s love, professional care, advanced medical equipment, and the generosity of benefactors unite to give these fragile lives a fighting chance. Together, we can accomplish more.

Medical professionals support the growth of Lithuania’s smallest patients and stand behind the Ankstukai initiative. Neonatologists across the country – those who save the lives of premature and ill newborns – have come together to form an Advisory Expert Board. This board helps define support priorities and key objectives in the fight for every newborn’s life in Lithuania, ensuring that every donated euro is used meaningfully and creates the greatest possible impact. The board assesses the need for medical equipment, provides recommendations on support measures for premature and ill infants, and shares expert insights that contribute to improving neonatal care across Lithuania.
